My understanding is that Step app is a credit building account.
Thus they report as a credit line.
You can also have a custodial account for a minor child in which case it reports to their credit report but not yours (I have this).
Also, I believe there are some datapoints that if you don’t have or use a debit card it won’t report , but I think the $200 bonus required debit card transactions so you couldn’t have done it that way.
